How We Put a Story Together

Every story on this site goes through the same short routine. It is not complicated, but it keeps us honest.

Choosing a topic

We pick subjects that readers are likely to meet in real life: a game format showing up everywhere, a payment option spreading quickly, a common question about bonuses or odds. We are less interested in one-off headlines than in shifts that will still matter months from now.

Checking the basics

  • We read the actual rules, help screens or terms behind a product, not just the advertising.
  • Where laws are involved, we keep statements general and encourage readers to check their own jurisdiction.
  • We avoid numbers we cannot stand behind. If we are not sure of a figure, we leave it out.

Writing it up

Stories explain how something works, why it is popular and where the risks are. Each one should be readable by someone new to the subject. We avoid hype words and never suggest that gambling is a way to make money.

Outside links

Some older stories contain links to other websites. These are kept as part of the article history and are not recommendations. We do not accept payment to change our conclusions.

Images

Pictures on the site are illustrative stock photographs used under their licence. They do not show the products or people discussed unless a caption says so.

Corrections and updates

When a reader points out an error, or rules change, we update the story. Significant changes are reflected in the date shown on the article. Send corrections to notes@grs-celje.org.

Why we cover trends, not tips

Gambling news moves quickly, and much of it is marketing dressed up as information. We try to separate the two.

Every trend we write about comes with a reminder that the house edge stays exactly where it was.

Worth keeping in mind

General points that apply to every game and every platform.

  • Game outcomes are random; past results do not change the next one.

  • Bonuses come with conditions that are easy to overlook, so read them first.

  • Licensed operators offer deposit limits and time-outs, and using them is a sign of control.
